TEXT MESSAGING REMINDERS FOR APPOINTMENTS
If you have agreed to text messaging you will get confirmation via text when you make an appointment, but you should be aware that you may not always get a second reminder. We would suggest therefore that once you receive confirmation, you add the date of your appointment to your diary so that you do not forget to attend.
IF YOU CANNOT KEEP YOUR APPOINTMENT PLEASE LET US KNOW SO THAT WE CAN OFFER IT TO SOMEONE WHO NEEDS IT
During February 2020 there were 37 missed appointments which amounts to 6.5 clinical hours being wasted which is unacceptable. Let's aim for less.
Please be mindful that appointments are always needed by somebody, so if you can't attend for yours, let us know so that we can give it to patients in need.
OUT OF HOURS
There may be an occasion when you need to call the surgery urgently outside of normal surgery hours. Your call will be automatically transferred to our out of hours provider who will advise you of the action to be taken.
CALL 999 IN AN EMERGENCY
Chest pains, heavy uncontrollable bleeding and/or difficulty breathing constitute an emergency.
Are your details up to date?
In order to send text messages to you it is important that you let us know if you change your mobile telephone number. Please check we have your correct number next time you visit or telephone the surgery.
DUE TO COVID-19 GP APPOINTMENTS HAVE CHANGED.
YOU WILL RECEIVE A TELEPHONE CALL FROM A GP WHO WILL ASSESS WHAT IS NEEDED AND WILL ADVISE YOU ACCORDINGLY.
WHERE POSSIBLE AND APPROPRIATE YOU COULD BE ASKED TO SEND A PHOTO OR CONVERT TO A VIDEO CONSULTATION.
HOWEVER, IF IT IS DEEMED NECESSARY BY THE GP THAT YOU NEED TO BE SEEN FACE TO FACE, YOU WILL BE INVITED TO COME TO THE SURGERY WHERE ALL SAFETY MEASURES WILL BE ADHERED TO.
